About me
You may find yourself caught in cycles of self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, or uncertainty in relationships. Perhaps there’s a constant inner voice that judges or doubts you, making it hard to feel settled in yourself or connected to others. You may want to feel like you are constantly in control and struggle when things are unpredictable or uncertain. You may hold yourself and/or others to a high standard. Often, this might not even be immediately obvious to others because you’re externally high-functioning, but internally in turmoil.
Or, you might have moved to a new country to explore a more international life and are either struggling with the transition or just want to talk to a therapist who understands what’s it like to have lived abroad.
I offer a compassionate, thoughtful space to help you make sense of these experiences and develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with yourself.
Areas I help with:
Self-Criticism & Perfectionism
Anxiety & Emotional Overwhelm
Relationship Difficulties
Body Image & Self-Worth
Emotional Regulation
Trauma / Attachment Patterns
Transitions to a life abroad/expat difficulties
A bit more about me, I am an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist (PYL046913) with almost 10 years of experience working within the NHS across psychological practice, research, and public policy. I bring this depth of experience into my private practice work with adults.
Therapy focuses on understanding where these patterns come from, learning to respond to emotions with greater care and balance, and building the inner resources needed to navigate life with more ease and self-trust.
I take an integrative and collaborative approach, drawing on Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). This allows us to explore self-criticism, emotional responses, and relationship patterns in a way that is tailored to your goals, values, and life context.
These approaches can also help you develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself, understand the deeper roots of emotional pain, build psychological flexibility in responding to difficult thoughts and feelings, and create more empowering ways of understanding your experiences.
If you’re considering therapy and would like to explore whether we might be a good fit, please email me to arrange a free 15-minute consultation.
I work with clients covered by AXA Health, Vitality and Aviva in the UK.
